COURSES

1 FEES

1.1 Full payment of the course fees must be received one month prior to commencement of courses of length one week or more, and two weeks before shorter courses. Your place on the course cannot be guaranteed until full payment is received.

1.2 All fees stated are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate.

2 MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT

You must be at least eighteen years old at the time of booking.

3 METHODS OF PAYMENT

3.1 Fees can be paid online or by bank transfer (please contact us for account details).

3.2 Fees of £500 or less can also be paid in cash. Fees of over £500 can only be paid in cash by prior arrangement. Any refund of cash bookings can only be made by bank transfer.

4 NON-UK RESIDENTS

4.1 Please include contact details for your UK stay when making your booking in case we need to contact you prior to course commencement.

4.2 Please ensure that your booking is confirmed and that the course is running before you make any travel arrangements. We can not offer refunds for travel or accommodation costs.

5 VISAS

5.1 If you do not hold a UK / EU / EEA passport, you may require a visa that allows you entry to the U.K. in order to take one of our courses. For more information, please see the UK Home Office website at http://www.gov.uk. It is your responsibility to determine how far in advance you need to apply for a visa if it is required, and to allow sufficient time to obtain a visa.

5.2 If you are refused entry to the UK, you will not be eligible for a refund of course fees.

5.3 If your visa is delayed, you will also not be eligible for a refund of course fees. At our discretion, however, we will consider transferring you to another course at a later date.

5.4 We require a copy of your passport and visa at least two working days in advance of course commencement. We will not allow you to join the course if you do not have the required documentation that allows you entry to the U.K. An electronic copy is sufficient to confirm your place on the course. 6 CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

6.1 Cancellations by you
6.1.1 You may cancel your place on a course up to one month before the course start date. Under these circumstances you will be entitled to a full refund of course fees, less the required deposit fee for the course purchased.

6.1.2 If you wish to cancel within one month of the course start date you will not be entitled to a refund.

6.1.3 If you have purchased a One-week, Two-week or Career Course and wish to cancel within one month of the course start date, you will not be entitled to a refund. However, at our discretion and subject to availability, you may be able to use the course fee on these courses only as a credit towards a future course.

6.1.4 If you have booked a course within one month of its start date, condition 6.1.2 will apply.

Please note that refunds can take up to three weeks to process.

6.2 Cancellations by us
6.2.1 Please note that courses have minimum attendance levels and may be cancelled if too few bookings are received. We reserve the right to amend or cancel courses.

6.2.2 If we cancel a course we shall endeavour to give you at least one week’s notice. You will have the option of transferring to another course or having a full refund of the fees, which we will return to you within three weeks.

6.2.3 We will not be liable for any losses (including, but not limited to, travel and accommodation costs) arising as a consequence of any modification or cancellation of courses or timetabling constraints as set out above, beyond the cost of the course fee.

7 COURSE TRANSFERS

7.1 You may transfer on to another course up to one month before a course start date subject to availability.

7.2 You may not transfer on to another course within one month of a course start date.

7.3 If you have booked a course within one month of its start date condition 7.2 will apply.

7.4 Students may transfer courses once only.

7.5 Students may not transfer to another course once it has started.

7.6 Transfer requests must be made in writing to [email protected]

8 NON-ATTENDANCE

8.1 If you are unable to attend a class or classes due to illness, or for personal or professional reasons, you will not be entitled to a refund, extra tuition or to automatically transfer to another course. However, we will consider such action that we believe to be fair and reasonable.

8.2 Please note that if alternative options are offered, there may be an additional charge.

9 UK BANK HOLIDAY WEEKENDS

There are no classes on the Career Courses on UK Bank Holiday weekends and published course dates reflect this.

10 Certificates

10.1 To achieve a certificate of attendance you must attend at least 80% of the course.

10.2 You will be presented with a certificate at the end of the course and the name given on the booking form will be the one that appears on the certificate.

10.3 If you miss the last session of the course, your certificate can be posted to you within the UK at no additional charge.

10.4 There will be an additional postage charge for certificates sent outside of the UK.

10.5 You may also collect your certificate from the London Flower School by prior arrangement.

10.6 Replacement certificates can be produced up to one year after completion of your course, but will be subject to an administrative fee of £50.

11 Materials and equipment

All materials and flowers are included in the course fees.

12 Photography and video

12.1 You may take as many photographs of your own work as you wish during the course.

12.2 Please ask permission of other students before taking photographs of their work, or using their work on your website.

12.3 You are not permitted to take videos at the London Flower School.

13 Student conduct

Students are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and to recognise that other students also require support and assistance. If a student becomes persistently disruptive, we reserve the right to issue an oral or written warning and, if this does not resolve the situation, we may, at our discretion, ask the student to leave the course.

14 Health and Safety

14.1 Students are expected to follow Health and Safety guidelines that are given at the start of each course.

14.2 Students are asked to wear appropriate clothing and footwear during the course.

14.3 Students who fail to comply with Health and Safety rules will be unable to participate in the course.

15 Force majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance, in whole or part, of any of our obligations arising from or attributable to acts, events, omissions or accidents beyond our reasonable control including, but not limited to, strikes, lock-outs or other industrial disputes (whether involving our workforce or the workforce of any other party), act of God, war, riot, civil commotion, terrorism, malicious damage, compliance with any law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, accident, breakdown of plant or machinery or heating, lighting, air conditioning or telecommunications equipment, fire, flood, storm, pandemics, epidemics or other outbreaks of disease or infection, or failure in the external supply of electricity, water or telecommunications (including internet) connections.

16 Applicable law

These Terms and Conditions shall be read and construed in accordance with English law and any dispute between us will be dealt with by the English Courts.

Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to The London Flower School Limited. The London Flower School Limited offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditional upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

By visiting our site and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by our Terms of Service. The Terms and Conditions apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.

Terms of Service

We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the LFS website (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.

We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the LFS website.

In using our website you agree to act in accordance with the law and accept and abide by all of our Terms and Conditions and Terms of Service. You may not alter, amend, impair or interfere with our website in any way. If you default negligently in any obligations set out in these Terms of Service, you shall be liable for all losses and damages that this may cause to The London Flower School Limited.

Prices

The price of any or all of our products will be as quoted on our website except in cases of obvious error. The prices of London Flower School courses are liable to change at any time and we reserve the right to modify or discontinue a service without notice at any time. We shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of a service. All of the prices given on our website are inclusive of VAT at current rates.

Refusal of Transaction

We reserve the right to refuse to process an order for any reason, or refuse service to anyone at our sole discretion and at any time during the ordering process.

Ordering Online

Upon placing your order online, you will be sent a confirmation e-mail detailing your order, and a second email confirming that the London Flower School have received payment. Your place on the course is then confirmed.

Should we have any queries relating to your order, we will contact you by e-mail or telephone as soon as possible within the order process.

By placing an order through our website, you warrant that you are both legally capable of entering into a binding contract, and are at least eighteen years of age.

Personal Information

Your submission of personal information through the website is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Errors, Inaccuracies and Omissions

Although we make every effort to be accurate, there may be information on our website that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions which may relate to course descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information on our website if it is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have booked a course).

We undertake no obligation to update, amend or clarify information on our website, including without limitation, pricing information, except as required by law.

Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property rights regarding the LFS website including, but not limited to, text, graphics, design, logos, photographs, images and all other materials are owned by The London Flower School Limited. No trademarks or content may be copied, reproduced, sold or used without our prior written consent. If we believe our intellectual property rights to have been breached you must at our direction return, delete or destroy any copies of the materials you have duplicated.

Prohibited Uses

In addition to other prohibitions as set forth in our Terms and Conditions and Terms of Service, you are prohibited from using our website or its content: (a) for any unlawful purpose; (b) to solicit others to perform or participate in any unlawful acts; (c) to violate any international, federal, provincial or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances; (d) to infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others; (e) to harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin, or disability; (f) to submit false or misleading information; (g) to upload or transmit viruses or any other type of malicious code that will or may be used in any way that will affect the functionality or operation of the Service or of any related website, other websites, or the Internet; (h) to collect or track the personal information of others; (i) to spam, phish, pharm, pretext, spider, crawl, or scrape; (j) for any obscene or immoral purpose; or (k) to interfere with or circumvent the security features of our business or any related businesses, other websites, or the Internet. Law and Jurisdiction

The contracts made through the purchasing of products through our website will be governed by English law. Any dispute that may arise from such contracts will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Gift Vouchers: Special Terms and Conditions

Gift vouchers are purchasable online and sent directly via email to the purchaser. LFS gift vouchers are issued in £ sterling and are redeemable online against LFS in-house courses only, but not against LFS ONLINE courses. Your gift voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Your gift voucher is non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash/credit, and cash/credit refunds will not be available for purchases made with the voucher.
